Christina Vieira-Barry is a visual artist from London, currently based in Italy, working in the field of film and video. She is co-founder of No Filter Films, specialsing in Director of Photography.
She graduated in French with English from King's College London, and lived in Marseille before moving to Bolzano, where she currently works in Visual Commuication for Museion Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Bolzano.
Her films are a critical commentary on the modern condition and the perception of an increasing censorship of reality, as a product of the virtual gaze. Between techno-utopian aspiration and uncontrollable dystopian eventuality, in her short films, she often hypothesises a dystopian reality to redefine our relationship with the present.
Recent exhibitions include Here to Stay at Museion, Shoot & Think at Foto Wien and Bolzano Art Weeks, and Reading Landscapes? at Lumen Museum of Mountain Photography.
Artist from Brixen and co-founder of No Filter Films. He studied Transmedia Art at the Angewandte in Vienna. His work is focused on film with a specific interest in creating narratives, spheres of the Unusual and Surreal. No Filter Films is a video agency in which the most varied forms of art and expression overlap and passion collides with precision.
